FAQ
1) Why does my computer lock when I try to view your games?
.flv files are unfortunately not the most user friendly of files. You may be used to using the slider on the bottom of your media player to jump around in video files pretty easily. However, if you do this while viewing an .flv file, the player will usually lock up.
As .flv files were meant to be streamed (and not recorded and played back) there are limitations. First, you’ll definitely need to download VLC Media Player to play any and all .flv files (including the Knick games).
Then, to jump around in the file, do not use the slider on the bottom, but the Playback->Jump to specific time menu option. You can also get this menu to appear with the CTRL-T hotkey, but I’ve noticed it doesn’t work until you’ve brought up the menu manually at least once. Once you enter the time, wait. It can take a while for the player to get to that point in the file.
So there it is… sorry for the limitations, that’s just the way things are right now with .flv files.
